Hive Beetles / Worms

Q: "These worms slimmed my hive, how and now what?"
A: Small Hive Beetles are normally a minor nuisance to a strong healthy colony of bees and it is fairly common, in the south, to see a few in the hives when opening the top covers. They can become a serious problem when a colony becomes too weak to protect their comb, similar to a Wax Moth problem, except the beetles like to lay their eggs in the honey. (see more...)
