The bees of today face challenges in the world that they did not evolve with over the millions of years they have been on the planet. Chemicals, pesticides and fungicides in particular, are a big concern and can whip out a colony in short order. Without a high quality diverse diet, much like anything else, people included, the immunize system of the colony can suffer.
Feeding syrup and pollen subs when there is little nectar and/or pollen coming in from the fields is needed, but while these subs help keep bees alive during hard times, they do not fully replace the nutrition mother nature can provide. So, if we want healthy strong colonies and we want them to grow - as we often do, especially with young starter colonies, we often need to help.
There is no "perfect" replacement for what nature can provide, and as of yet, science has not developed a "Puppy Chow" version of replacement bee food. Meaning, there is not one single product on the market that sustains bees for more than a couple of months.
MelliferaBoost ® is a proprietary blend of a functional protein, plant flavonoid, nutraceutical, phytosterol, and essential oils in an invert sugar base. Melliferaboost® has the benefit of allowing more eggs to reach maturity, aid in bees attaining a heavier overall body weight, helps fight a multitude of brood ailments, also helps in protecting the bee gut environment while boosting the bee’s immune system. The ingredients in Melliferaboost® help to supplement the nutrients missing from artificial diets, helping to stimulate their immune and detoxification genes. Ease of application is another benefit of Melliferaboost®, saving time and additional expense. Each treatment is applied by sprinkling the dry powder directly inside the colony with immediate effects to the bees. No need to purchase additional syrup that may induce robbing or delay the Melliferaboost® effect.
